IMPORTANT: All is up and ready for today’s National Indoor Rowing Championships, but SAFETY FIRST. We are living in unusual times, and unfortunately there was a recent rise in COVID-19 and flu cases. For the safety of everybody, we are giving participants who were supposed to race today (i.e. not those who raced already or withdrew) who are feeling unwell or who may have been in close contact with COVID-19 cases the possibility to race remotely for their own safety and the safety of others if this is possible. (If this is not possible, please inform us ASAP but do not turn up at the venue). All you have to do is this: 1. Inform the organiser that this is the case as soon as possible. 2. Set up your machine with the required distance as a “Fixed Distance” and row it. 3. Once you finish, Go to Memory, List by Date and select the “workout” you’ve just completed. Press the 4th button twice. This will include an Authentication code on the screen so we can verify your result. 4. Take a picture of the screen with the verification code showing today’s date and send it to the organiser. This needs to be sent at least 30 minutes before your scheduled race start time. 5. If you are a lightweight rower, send us also a picture of yourselves on scales.
Payment is to be made before the start of the race, as follows:
- Participants aged less than 19 Years of age on the 31st December of the year of the Championships: One Race €5, Two or more races: €10;
- Rowers / Athletes Registered with Malta Rowing Association (Ghaqda Regatta Nazzjonali u Qdif Iehor): One Race €5, Two or more races: €10;
- Others: One Race: €15, Two or more races: €30.
The Championships will be held in one of the buildings within the Ta’ Kandia Shooting Range Complex . If you are using a private car, you can enter the Complex form with your car through the Main Gate* marked as (1) on the site plan. The car gate will open automatically. You need to park in the parking area marked as (2) and then walk down to the building hosting the rowing machines marked as (3).
